How to maximise your scholarship chances
Almost every scholarship uses GPA or percentage as a primary filter. A 75%+ record (ideally 80%+) in your Indian degree opens most doors. If your percentage is borderline, a strong SOP and research background can compensate.
Most scholarship programs are not mutually exclusive. Apply to your target university's merit award plus one national scholarship (Chevening, DAAD) simultaneously. Many Indian students win multiple partial awards that together cover most of their costs.
Scholarship SOPs require a different tone than admission essays — they emphasise social impact, leadership, and post-degree plans to contribute to India. Start drafting 4–6 months before the deadline. Future Link reviews scholarship SOPs as part of our application service.
