Prepare Your Academic Profile
Indian students need strong Class 12 or undergraduate grades, standardised test scores (SAT/GRE/GMAT depending on level), and English proficiency scores (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+). Class 12 students applying to NUS/NTU are assessed on a holistic basis.
Write SOPs and Gather Documents
Craft a compelling Statement of Purpose tailored to each institution. Collect academic transcripts, marksheets, LORs, CV, and passport copies. Certified translations are required if documents are in a language other than English.
Submit Applications
Most universities open applications in SeptemberโNovember for the following August intake. NUS and NTU deadlines are typically in DecemberโMarch. Apply to 4โ6 programmes to maximise your chances.
Receive Offer & Apply for Student Pass (ICA)
Once you receive a Conditional or Unconditional Offer, use the SOLAR+ system managed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) to apply for your Student Pass. Your university's International Students Office will guide this process.
Arrange Finances & Accommodation
Open a Singapore bank account (DBS/POSB is common for students), arrange on-campus or private hostel accommodation, and carry initial funds of at least SGD 3,000โ5,000 for settlement.
Arrive & Complete In-Person Formalities
