An official conditional or unconditional offer letter (carta de admisión) from a Spanish university or accredited institution is mandatory. The institution must be registered with the Spanish Ministry of Education.
€600 / Month Bank Balance
Proof of financial means covering your entire stay — approximately €600 per month. Bank statements for the last six months, a scholarship letter, or a notarised sponsor declaration are accepted.
Health Insurance
Comprehensive private health insurance valid for Spain and the entire Schengen Area, with a minimum coverage of €30,000. The policy must cover the full period of your intended stay.
Valid Passport
Indian passport valid for at least three months beyond your intended stay in Spain, with at least two blank pages. A photocopy of all used pages is also required.
Accommodation Proof
Confirmed accommodation details for your initial stay — university residence contract, a rental agreement, or a notarised letter of invitation from a host family or sponsor in Spain.
No Criminal Record Certificate
A police clearance certificate (PCC) issued by the Indian government for all countries where you have resided in the past five years, apostilled and translated into Spanish by a certified translator.
Important: University Pre-Enrolment is Non-Negotiable
Unlike some countries where you can apply for a student visa with a conditional offer, Spain requires a confirmed pre-enrolment or admission. Spanish public universities issue a pre-enrolment certificate (resguardo de preinscripción) which is sufficient for the visa application. Private universities provide a direct admission letter.
