About the Singapore Visitor Visa
Indian nationals need an Entry Visa to visit Singapore. Visas are issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and are obtained online (e-Visa) through Singaporean authorised visa agents (AVAs) or the embassy.
Standard visa is multiple-entry valid up to 2 years (issued at ICA discretion) with each visit up to 30 days. First-time travellers often receive a 35-day multi-entry visa.

Standard short-stay visa for tourism, family/friend visit, attending events. Online via authorised agent.
Business e-Visa
For meetings, conferences, networking. Usually with an invitation letter from a Singapore-registered company.
Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP)
For accompanying family members of Singapore Work Pass holders โ separate ICA process.
Eligibility Criteria

Confirmed return / onward ticket
Hotel booking or local invitation letter

- Last 3 months' bank statements
- Cover letter detailing purpose & dates
Financial Requirements
ICA expects you to demonstrate roughly SGD 100/day of stay through bank statements. Most successful files show โน1.5โ3 lakh + 3 years ITRs.
Processing, Biometrics & Validity
Typically 3โ7 working days from AVA submission. Premium files may move in 24โ72 hours.
Not required for tourist e-Visa. Biometrics captured at Singapore Changi automated immigration gates.
Not required for tourist visa.
ICA issues either single-entry (35 days) or multiple-entry (up to 24 months) at its discretion. Each visit max 30 days; the immigration officer at Changi decides actual stay (typically 14โ30 days).

Invitation Letter Rules
If hosted by a Singapore resident, the host fills Form V39A โ Letter of Introduction โ confirming sponsorship, accommodation and your relationship. Singapore citizens, PRs and Employment Pass / S-Pass holders qualify as local sponsors.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is NOT mandatory but strongly recommended (โฅ SGD 30,000) for hospitalisation cover.
