Receive Unconditional Admission from a Dutch Institution
Secure an unconditional offer letter from an IND-recognised university, hogeschool, or MBO college in the Netherlands. Confirm your institution's recognised sponsor status with us before committing — this determines whether the narging procedure applies to you.
Submit Documents to International Student Services

Institution Submits Narging Application to IND

Within five days of arrival, register at your local municipality (gemeente) at the Basisregistratie Personen (BRP). You will receive a Burger Service Number (BSN) — the Dutch equivalent of a national ID number, essential for banking, healthcare, and tax purposes.
Attend IND Desk Appointment — Biometric Registration
Visit the IND desk appointment arranged by your institution (usually held on campus or nearby). Bring your passport, authorisation code, and passport photos. Register for DigiD

Renew Residence Permit Annually (if Multi-Year Programme)
