Last Date for the Canada Fee Waiver — 30 September 2026
Allocations are finite, and institutions may close earlier once their share is used
Mark the Deadline — 30 September 2026
The Canada application fee waiver campaign opened on 4 August 2026 and closes on 30 September 2026. That is the last date to claim: Future Link Consultants must submit your application within this window for the institution application fee to be waived. Miss it, and you would pay the normal application fee — typically CAD 100–250 per college.
The waiver covers the September 2026 and January 2027 intakes and lets you apply to up to 3 participating institutions free. But 30 September 2026 is not the whole story — allocations are finite, and some institutions may close earlier. Future Link Consultants is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, licence R506940.
Why Waiting Costs You
| If you claim... | What tends to happen |
|---|---|
| Early (August) | Widest programme choice and most time to arrange funds, GIC and your permit |
| Mid-cycle (September) | Good options remain, but popular programmes and campuses start filling |
| Late September | Individual institutions may have already exhausted their campaign allocation |
| After 30 September 2026 | The waiver has closed — you pay the full application fee per college |
The 30 September 2026 date is the outer limit. Individual institutions may close earlier once their campaign allocation is exhausted.
Finite Allocations and the 2026 Cycle
Canada expects around 155,000 new-arrival study permits nationally in 2026, and these allocations are finite. Ontario alone has an allocation of 104,780 applications — the largest of any province — but demand is high. The earlier in the cycle you apply, the more room there is at your preferred institutions before their share is used.
Because each participating institution has a limited campaign allocation, the practical deadline for your chosen college can arrive before 30 September 2026. Claiming your waiver now protects your place in the queue and gives your counsellor time to shortlist, draft your SOP and guide your PAL and permit steps.
The waiver covers the institution application fee only. Tuition, the tuition deposit, GIC, biometrics, the study-permit fee and any third-party charges are separate and payable as normal. No admission or study-permit outcome is guaranteed. The last date to claim is 30 September 2026 — and possibly sooner for individual institutions.
