Important Notes

- 2Stipendium Hungaricum scholars receive a scholarship letter which replaces the financial proof requirement.

Choose Your University & Programme

Apply for Stipendium Hungaricum (Optional)
If eligible, apply through the ICCR portal between November and January for September intake. Scholarship results are announced by April. Self-funding students can proceed directly to the university application portal.
Receive Your Admission Letter
Submit your academic transcripts, language scores, and motivation letter to your chosen university. Once accepted, you will receive an unconditional offer letter — the cornerstone document for your visa application.
Gather & Authenticate Documents
Collect all required documents: financial proof, accommodation confirmation, insurance, police clearance, and medical certificate. Apostille or notarise documents as required by the Hungarian Embassy.
Book Embassy Appointment & Submit Application
Book a visa appointment at the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi or Consulate in Mumbai. Submit your Residence Permit application form along with all supporting documents and pay the application fee.
Biometrics & Interview
Attend your embassy appointment to provide biometric data. Some applicants may be called for a short interview. Processing typically takes 4–8 weeks after submission.
Receive Permit & Prepare to Depart
Once approved, collect your Residence Permit sticker / card from the embassy. Book flights, arrange accommodation, and attend pre-departure briefing sessions offered by Future Link Consultants.
Register on Arrival in Hungary
Within 3 days of arrival, register your address with the local Hungarian Immigration Authority (OIF). Your full biometric residence card will be issued in Hungary and must be collected within the validity period.
